That means a retro look with long fenders replacing the standard front mudguards, special paintwork and a bespoke interior. This car artfully blends the silhouette, driving dynamics and charm of Lotus founder Colin Chapman'€™s original two-seater Seven of 1957 with a modern-day lightweight Suzuki powertrain and running gear. The Sprint may have a retro air about it, but the 3-cylinder unit feels more modern, with some tasty boost on tap from 2500rpm and an addictive turbo flutter when off throttle. Its short-ratio 5-speed gearbox is tight and notchy with incredibly short throws, but the narrow gate means you must really focus on nailing every single gear change smoothly. Before you start exploring the car'€™s limits though, you should know that the Sprint has no power steering, no ABS, no airbags and no traction control.
